TidalRip.com has PhotoPost Installed – My Review so Far…

March 16th, 2007 | No Comments | Filed Under: General - TidalRip

Tonight I installed Photopost onto TidalRip.com.  The install went pretty smoothly and within about an hour i was posting test photos to the forum and playing around with the integration.  I am waiting for my license to be approved in the support forum, so i haven’t had much of a chance to work any changes into my main index page yet.  Hopefully in the next few days some noticable changes will happening.

Also, I started a design contest for a header graphic over at Namepros.com.  This contest will be running until next Friday so by next week the layout and design should really start coming together.  Then all that is left is promotion.

So my review so far is positive and am happy i purchased PhotoPost eventhough it was a bit pricy.

Sailing and Cruising Forum has a Domain!

March 12th, 2007 | 1 Comment | Filed Under: TidalRip

After careful deliberation, I have settled on a domain name for the new forum.  The new domain name is www.tidalrip.com.  As i mentioned in the last post, this forum will focus on cruising and sailing in the pacific northwest.  One unique option of the forum will be the ability to share a photo album with other users.  Other users will then have the option to comment or discuss your photographs.  I envision users posting destinations they have visited and other artistic photos they have taken.

Keep watching for more updates on this project.

My First Internet Site not built to Make Money!

March 8th, 2007 | No Comments | Filed Under: TidalRip

Today I got very excited about a project that i have been thinking a lot about lately.  Before I go into the details of the site idea I think it is interesting to note that the first site or post on my blog does not relate to monetizing Internet marketing.  All of my current sites were created only to create money.  This project however is created for the purpose of Creation!  This is the first site I have felt this way about.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a domain name for the site yet, but i am debating a few options.  The premise of the site is a niche forum that will serve the Puget Sound, Hood Canal, and San Juan Islands as a location where local cruisers and sailors can come together to share experiences, locations, and advise about sailing or cruising.  I would very much like to see an interactive exchange of photographs and information though a community forum.

In the next couple of days i will be deciding on a domain name and posting in the forum.  I know that currently i have no viewers of my blog and the only person reading this is me, but hopefully my writings will interest someone in the future.

 Until next Time,
Ryan K.
